I’m a BACP registered Counsellor and Therapist

I’m Sarah Enderby. I provide Counselling in High Wycombe Buckinghamshire. I’ve always been intrigued by what motivates us humans to do what we do. After a long career researching consumer behaviour in the corporate world, circumstances led me to seek therapy to help with a crisis in my personal life. Having the support of a therapist and a safe and confidential place to explore what was going on for me was transformative. It not only helped me to reconnect with who I really was, it also gave me a desire to live more authentically with those around me.

It would take me several more years to take the plunge and train to be a therapist myself, driven by a passion to support others open to looking at their life in a new way and seeing where the path leads.

I now run my own private psychotherapy practice and am a member of the British Association of Counsellors (MBACP) with a First Class MA Degree, as well as a Diploma in Psychodynamic counselling. In addition, having trained and worked as a counsellor at Relate, I hold their Level 5 Post Qualifying Certificate in Relationship Therapy, offering therapeutic support to both individuals and couples.

I also hold a Ph.D in Pastoral Christian Ministry and am on the accredited register for the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC).

I am fully qualified to offer therapeutic support to both individuals and couples.

Testimonials

Communication skills

Sarah really helped us to understand how our communication could be better and gave us some great tools to use on our own.

Relationship help

I couldn’t recommend Sarah more highly – she was recommended to us and I have recommended her to other couples. Sarah seemed to recognise and understand what was at the core of our relationship and we spent time focusing and building on that to get us back together.
She made us both feel very comfortable and created an environment that allowed us to be totally honest with one another whilst maintaining respect.
We had tried another therapist before Sarah and the experience couldn’t have been more different.

Compassionate and understanding

Simply put – Sarah saved us! We don’t know how she got us from where we were to where we are, we’re just very thankful she did. She has a way of cutting through to the heart of the matter swiftly with both compassion and understanding. It helped we both ‘resonated’ with her and felt able to open up and be honest. We highly recommend Sarah and will continue working with her in the future.

Cannot recommend enough!!

Sarah is a fantastic couples therapist! She helped us massively in our relationship and is quick to see and understand the issues. Can‘t recommend enough!

Life changing

Me and my husband have been married for 8 years and felt quite stuck with our marriage in a few areas for a long time. We tried different ways to seek help but we couldn’t make much progress. We thought we would give Sarah’s couple therapy a try.
To be honest I didn’t come at the beginning with much hope and thought it would just be the same old thing. But after a couple sessions of Sarah getting to know us, she’s able to identify the root problems for us individually and as a couple. We were given some new tools to try on.
After regular counselling sessions with Sarah for a few months, I would say me and my husband have really felt we have got to the other side and our marriage is refreshed.
We are very grateful for Sarah’s help, and we are confident to say that if you have any doubt or challenge in your relationship, don’t give up and give Sarah a try!
